It wouldn't occur to Vice that he used to be a violent and self-sufficient creature that failed its trials of adulthood and has been cast into a purgatory of human civilizations thousands of years later to start anew. Maybe when he has his exoskeleton fully grown back and connections between all his synapses rebuild, he would actually remember.

He's lovely, but his eyes are especially haunting. I titled my head to study them better. I love the shadows in here. They really add something to this.
